This project in 20 seconds
Completed in December 2024, this full garden renovation in Loose transformed a tired outdoor space into a vibrant, modern garden ready to enjoy through winter and beyond. Featuring a large porcelain patio, two beautifully crafted ponds, new planting throughout, and freshly laid turf, this project brought structure, interest, and life back to the garden.
The challenge
The existing garden was underused and lacked cohesion, with uneven levels and limited visual flow between areas. The clients wanted a complete transformation, with a functional and attractive space that could be appreciated year-round, with plenty of planting and natural elements to soften the hard landscaping.
Our solution
We designed and built a large porcelain patio, providing a clean, contemporary surface that extends seamlessly from the property and connects to the lawn beyond. Two pond features were created to introduce movement and sound, surrounded by a mix of rockery planting and decorative gravel to enhance texture and character.
The planting plan included a thoughtful selection of trees to add height, depth, and seasonal interest, alongside mixed borders filled with shrubs and perennials for long-term structure. The entire garden was then returfed, completing the transformation with a lush, green finish.
The result
The finished garden is a perfect blend of hard and soft landscaping, a practical, balanced, and full of natural charm. The porcelain patio offers space for entertaining and relaxation, while the ponds and planting bring biodiversity and calm.
