This modern garden redesign in Maidstone focused on creating a low-maintenance yet elegant outdoor space. The project included a durable porcelain patio, defined planting areas, and decorative pathways, resulting in a practical and visually striking landscape. A Stylish & Hard-Wearing Surface
The centrepiece of this project is a modern porcelain patio, chosen for its sleek appearance, durability, and low maintenance. Unlike traditional paving, porcelain is resistant to staining, algae growth, and weather damage, ensuring it remains in excellent condition with minimal upkeep. The smooth, non-slip surface makes it perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Adding Structure & Visual Interest
To create a sense of order and balance, we installed raised planters and defined borders using contemporary materials. These planters provide height and depth, allowing for layered planting that changes with the seasons. The structured layout also helps separate different garden zones, ensuring a clean and well-organised space.
Connecting Garden Zones with Elegance
A network of porcelain pathways was introduced to seamlessly connect different areas of the garden. These paths create a smooth, easy-to-navigate flow, guiding visitors from the patio to planting areas and beyond. The neutral tones of the paving blend effortlessly with the rest of the design, enhancing the contemporary aesthetic.
Low-Maintenance Greenery & Seasonal Colour
We carefully selected a mix of perennials, ornamental grasses, and evergreen shrubs to complement the clean lines of the patio. The planting scheme provides year-round interest while keeping maintenance requirements low. The combination of textures and foliage ensures the garden remains vibrant and inviting throughout the seasons.
Ensuring Durability & Functionality
Proper ground preparation and drainage were essential to ensure the longevity of the patio. A well-compacted sub-base and an efficient drainage system prevent water pooling and movement, keeping the surface stable and level. These considerations not only protect the structure but also ensure long-term performance with minimal maintenance.
